My name is Steve, I teach saxophone to beginners and improvers both individually and in groups. Students enjoy the group lessons, as they offer affordable tuition and are fun to participate in.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach saxophone and theory in all genres of music, especially jazz and classical music.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have no formal qualifications, however, I have been playing in many different bands over the years. My late sister was a classically trained musician and teacher, she helped me a great deal in tutoring.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been playing the saxophone for 28 years. I play soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. I have been teaching individuals for a number of years, but had to give it up for a year due to health problems.
How much do you charge?
Group saxophone lessons for beginners and improvers are for 2 hours per week for six weeks and include tea/coffee and biscuits and free use of an instrument during the lessons, if required, this cost £72.00 for the six weeks, that's only £6.00 per hour.
I also offer individual lessons to beginners at £25.00 per hour. I perform all my tuition at my home studio.
Where do you teach?
I only teach at home in my studio. I do not travel to students' homes.

Individual lessons are any time Monday to Friday with exception to Wednesday evening.
Group sessions on Monday and Tuesday 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm respectively.
