About Shereen

- What kind of experience do you have?

I am a professional actress. This year I have been working on 3 ITV series and an NBC/Universal pilot. Last year I was in the West End, before which I was working at the Royal Court Theatre. I have worked extensively as an actress since leaving RADA in 2002 in theatre, television and film. My first job was playing Juliet for Josie Rourke, artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse. I then went on to the RSC where I worked with Sean Holmes, artistic director of the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. I have since worked at the National Theatre with director James McDonald, an associate at the Royal Court until 2007, among others. I played Viola in Twlefth Night in the West End and then went on to work with multi award winning film director Peter Kosminsky on the BAFTA award winning 'Britz'. I've worked with Thea Sharrock, theatre and film director and have enjoyed parts in TV including The Loch, Vera, Midsomer Murders, DCI Banks, Eastenders, Doctors, Lewis and several one off mini series for ITV and Channel 4.
Most importantly, I teach alongside my work and therefore bring a wealth of current knowledge of the industry. I hope to pass on to my students something of what I've learned from my training at Rada and from all the talented directors I've been lucky enough to work with.
I also love teaching English as a foreign language to young children. I use drama games and more traditional ways to help my students learn in an immersive and fun atmosphere that is never boring.

And I am teaching two very bright young girls aged 7 and 8 years English as a foreign language.
