Tell me about some of your current students.
My pupils vary in age and style! Pupils have successfully been accepted to music colleges in the UK and regularly participate and come in the top 3 places in International Competitions. Pupils have included actors who work in films and television, have performed and competed in area finals of Open Mic Nights, and professional singers who perform around the world. My pupils include: professional classical/opera singers, singers preparing for grade exams and / or music college auditions, professional film / theatre actors, radio / TV presenters, young music theatre singers, folk singers, songwriters and amateur performers from various walks of life who sing for their own pleasure.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I tailor singing lessons to each students specific requirements. Each students lesson plan will vary slightly according to what areas need more attention. Lessons are based around the core rules of singing correctly (technique) - using your diaphragm, controlling your breathing, working through the vocal break and aligning the voice, working on pitch & tone and many other exercises that will help you develop the unique qualities of your voice. Once you have learned the fundamental skills to singing correctly, you can then apply them to any singing style you wish!
