About Lowri
- What kind of experience do you have?
Teaching Experience:
I have taught singing privately since July 2008 and teach all ages and levels of ability from beginners through to advanced (including ABRSM Grades 1-8)
I teach peripatetically at the following schools:
Highgate School - October '13 - present
Croydon High School for Girls - Sept '11 - present
Haverstock School - January '12 - present
Performing Experience:
I was brought up in North Wales and began singing when I was selected for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. Since, I have performed as a soloist in venues throughout Northern Italy as part of the Casalmaggiore Festival, on Radio 3, in Faure's Requiem, Brahms' Requiem, Mahler's Symphony No. 4 and regularly at The House of Lords. Previous operatic experience includes Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (LUUMS), Edith in The Pirates of Penzance, Chorus in Die Fledermaus (The College of Music, North Texas) Mercedez in Carmen, Alice in Falstaff and Sister Genovieffa in Suor Angelica (GSMD scenes), Chorus in 'The Magic Flute' (Nevill Holt Opera), Chorus in 'La Boheme' (Nevill Holt Opera) and First Lady/Second Witch/Sailor in 'Dido and Aeneas' (Opera Up Close).
As well as performing, I have organised many fundraising concerts supporting charities including Cancer Research UK , The Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust, The Evelina Children's Heart Organisation and Great Ormond Street Children's Street Hospital.

I have taken part in masterclasses with world class sopranos Yvonne Kenny and Sally Burgess and several of the UK's most distinguished singing teachers, including Rudolph Piernay, John Evans and Sue Waters. I am continuing my studies under the tuition of Janice Chapman, author of the leading book in vocal pedagogy 'Singing and Teaching Singing - A Holistic Approach to Classical Voice'.

I teach at home in Wandsworth Town but would travel to surrounding areas including Putney, Chelsea, Kensington, Clapham Junction and central London.
