Personal Message
Hi! I am a specialist trumpet teacher trained in the Suzuki Method, and offer private and group lessons for children aged 4 and upwards in the London Borough of Hackney.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I specialise in Trumpet tuition for children aged 4 and up, using the Suzuki Method. I also teach a musicianship sister course called Music Mind Games, and incorporate that into my classes.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Bachelor of Music Degree in Classical Trumpet, and two years of Jazz second study from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am training to complete my Level 1 in the Suzuki Method for Trumpet.
What kind of experience do you have?
Throughout my time at the Guildhall School I taught piano and a variety of brass instruments privately in the Tower Hamlets and Hackney Boroughs, teaching in a range of styles and genres. I also worked for Newham Council's Every Child a Musician Scheme, teaching peripatetically at schools in the borough. Since graduating I have worked for Hackney Centre for Young Musicians, coached the brass players for Newham Council's Under the Stars Orchestra, and begun work at the Suzuki Hub in Haggerston as a group teacher of Music Mind Games, the Suzuki Method's Sister course.

I am training to become one of only 32 Suzuki registered trumpet teachers in the world, and the only one currently teaching in the UK.
How much do you charge?
Standard fee: £40 per hour. Most lessons are conducted in a 30 or 45 minute duration, at £20 and £30 respectively.
Consultation/Taster lesson fee: £30 per hour. One trial lesson.
Where do you teach?
I teach at the Suzuki Hub, a specialist music centre in the London Borough of Hackney.

In special cases there can be discussion about travelling to my home in Harringay.

Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes
