Welcome to my page! Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to book a trial lesson.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the Trumpet/Cornet, Trombone, French Horn and I also teach Music Theory.

Skype lessons are also available on request.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a performance degree (BMus(Hons) 2:1) on the Trumpet from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I studied with Paul Beniston, Paul Cosh, Anne McAneney and Natural Trumpet with Steve Keavy.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for 9 years, and at Wetherby Preparatory School for 2 years and have experience with all ages and standards. I have also taught for the East Dulwich Academy for Performing Arts and Bromley Youth Music Trust at their Saturday schools.

I have previously worked on education projects for the London Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra, and have given workshops across the country with my brass quintet Quintabile, including workshops to students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
How much do you charge?
I charge £45 p/h, £35 for 45 minutes and £25 per 30 minute lesson. Trial lessons are offered at the same rates.
Where do you teach?
I travel to my students' houses to teach, and am available for lessons in Thame and the surrounding areas. I also teach in the Finsbury Park area of North London, where I have 4 private students.
When are you available?
I normally teach during evenings and at the weekend, though as I am a freelance performer this can vary on a weekly basis.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and standards. I recommend that young beginner brass players start after their adult front teeth have come through as this is best for setting up a stable embouchure.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I teach both Trinity and ABRSM exam syllabuses.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a current DBS for Wetherby Preparatory School, Bromley Youth Music Trust and Southwark.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to the Musician's Union and the Musician's Answering Service.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have 4 private students, 2 who have been learning with me for around 5 years and are at Grade 4/5 standard. The other 2 students are Grade 3 and Grade 2 standard and I have been teaching them for around 2 years.
