About Andy
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have performed professionally for 15 years in London covering all styles of music but mainly jazz. I am a Ronnie Scotts Allstar trumpeter and perform around the world with my group the Andy Davies Quartet which is also resident house band at Ronnie Scotts every Wednesday. I have performed as a session musician with many pop stars and classical music ensembles such as the Philarmonia Orchestra.

Hi, I'm Andy. I am very passionate about teaching trumpet and jazz trumpet. I am the current resident trumpeter at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club where I have run the Jam Session on Wednesdays for 8 years now.

I teach classical trumpet and jazz trumpet at all levels
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BMus Hons degree in Jazz music from Trinity College of Music in London. I passed Grade 8 trumpet at the age of 16.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £50 for a 1 hour lesson which includes travel.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at your home, or at Parkers Brass Shop in Warren Street London.
- When are you available?
I am available any time depending on when I am gigging, which is mainly in the evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any age and any level.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Music is an important outlet for humans whatever level you are at. It is a way of expressing yourself in a stressful world and can be an essential tool in making you a better person.
