I currently have and up-to-date DBS Certificate
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
As mentioned previously, I conduct online tutoring either via video conference (e.g. Skype or FaceTime) or via email correspondence.
This is much more practical than it may initially sounds as all you need to make this work is a webcam and a broadband internet connection. I would be unable to tutor the piano over video conference however as I need to be able to see the entire instrument (which is bit difficult to do with a piano!) to assess technique and posture etc.
I am also able to coach for specific musical projects (exams, competitions etc.) as well as theoretical or practical musical matters via email correspondence. As mentioned previously please get in touch to discuss precise details.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to the Musicians' Union.
Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied in London at the Royal College of Music, in Scotland at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and in Wales at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and have trained and worked with many highly respected people in the professional music arena including:
James Watson (Former Head of Brass, Royal Academy of Music)
John Wallace (Former Principal Trumpet of the Philharmonia)
Mark O'Keefe (Principal Trumpet of the Scottish Symphony Orchestra)
Paul Archibald (Former Co-Principal Trumpet of the Royal Opera House)
Nigel Boddice (Former Principal Trumpet of the Scottish Symphony Orchestra)
Philippe Schartz (Principal Trumpet of the National Orchestra of Wales)
Dean Wright (Principal Trumpet of the Welsh National Opera)
