Personal Message
I am a professional trumpeter based in Finchley with a fun and positive approach to teaching. I am passionate about both teaching and playing, and I aim to enthuse and encourage my students.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Trumpet is my main instrument; however, I teach all brass and music theory. I also have a wealth of experience teaching and supporting children with dyslexia and with Special Educational Needs, particularly autism.
Tell me about your qualifications.
BMus (Classical Trumpet) Guildhall School of Music and Drama 2014. Prior to that I attended the Purcell School of Music studying trumpet and cello.
What kind of experience do you have?
In addition to private teaching, I have also been involved in extensive education and outreach work. Organisations include: London Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra discovery educational projects, the Purcell School 'Impulse' group, Mencap, and Resources for Autism. I have also trained in Music Therapy techniques and the Kodaly method.
How much do you charge?
£40 an hour (£30 for 45 minutes, £20 for half an hour). 24 hour notice for a lesson cancellation or you will be charged.
Where do you teach?
I teach at my home but I am also happy to travel to my pupils.
When are you available?
Anytime - as an active professional musician my schedule can vary week-to-week, but I will always give notice of changes to lesson times.
