I was trained by Anthony Saltmarsh to grade 8 classical violin (merit). I have taught folk fiddle to individuals and groups over the last 15 years
- How much do you charge?
£20 per hour or £15 for 45 minutes. Half price consultation lesson if you mention the tutor pages. I will travel locally in Norwich and charge an extra £5 per lesson.
- Where do you teach?
Teaching mainly from home in Norwich NR2. I will travel locally within a 5 mile radius.

Mainly week day mornings and afternoons but other days and times are sometimes possible by arrangement. I tend to be away for some of the school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach all ages (children should be accompanied by an adult) and from beginner to advanced for folk fiddle and beginner to intermediate for classical violin.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
My teaching style is mostly informal and focused on individual needs. I always try to make lessons fun and give my students music that they like, to learn. I encourage them to try to find others to play with in groups and organise group activities when possible. Playing an instrument should always be fun and satisfying as well as challenging.
