Personal Message
I am a professional violinist, recently graduating with a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music. I am passionate about teaching and my aim is to enthuse and encourage all my students with enjoyment being the core of every lesson!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
My main instrument is the violin, which I can teach from a beginner to advanced level. I am also able to teach the piano to a high level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a First Class Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance, as well a Masters in Performance from the Royal College of Music. I also attended the Purcell School from 2004-2011.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching the violin and piano privately for the past 6 years and have taught pupils of all ages ranging from a beginner to advanced level - many of whom I have prepared for ABRSM exams, with all pupils achieving a Distinction. I have participated and led Outreach workshops around the UK which involved working alongside pupils in primary and secondary schools. As I have been learning the violin for nearly 20 years, I have a high knowledge of the best teaching methods depending on each individual pupil and I am committed to helping all my pupils to reach their full potential.
How much do you charge?
Violin:
£45/hour (£40 for 45 minutes, £30 for 30 minutes)

Piano:
£45/hour (£40 for 45 minutes, £30 for 30 minutes)

- 10 lessons per term
Where do you teach?
I am able to travel to the pupil's home for lessons.
When are you available?
Afternoons/early evenings on a weekday or mornings on the weekend work for me. I try my best to keep a fixed time but as a freelance musician, this is not always possible - I will of course inform you in advance and make up for it at your convenience.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach pupils of all ages and levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare my pupils for ABRSM exams, Trinity exams, scholarship auditions, junior conservatoire entry and conservatoire auditions.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I am fully DBS checked.
Where and with whom did you train?
I was a student at The Purcell School of Music from 2004-2011 and just finished studying at the Royal College of Music with Dr. Felix Andrievsky and Sasha Rozhdestvensky.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I am experienced in teaching beginners up to pupils who wish to apply for Conservatoires, with a 100% success rate. All of the pupils I have entered for ABRSM exams have also achieved a Distinction.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am passionate about sharing my musical knowledge and I strongly believe that learning an instrument is a highly rewarding experience. It is extremely important for me to make lessons enjoyable whilst keeping pupils motivated and eager to learn. I tailor lessons to each individual's needs and I am committed to bringing out the excellence in every pupil. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
