Personal Message
I am a freelance violinist and music teacher. I'm friendly, relaxed, and always happy to teach with a smile. I would be happy to help you if you want to learn music as a beginner or strengthen your abilities as an advanced player.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical violin and piano, focusing on the practical skills and on the knowledge of music theory you need to progress in your learning.
Tell me about your qualifications.
Master of Music in Performance (Violin) at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (UK 2016).
Diplome d'études musicales in Violin and Conducting, (France 2014).
Diploma di Violino, equivalent to a BMus in Violin Performance with Piano as a second instrument, (Italy 2011).
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching in London since September 2015, when I moved here to attend university. I have worked both with children and adults, each of them with different aims and different musical background (most of the times none). I enjoy working on different repertoires, according to your musical tastes, but I can also provide consistent technical work which helped my current and previous students to progress and play more difficult pieces.
How much do you charge?
I charge £35 for one hour and £25 for half an hour. These prices include travels up to 30 minutes. I will charge more for longer travels.
Where do you teach?
I cannot teach at my place at the moment, so I travel around my area. I can get to Kensal, Harlesden, Cricklewood, Hampstead and other close neighborhoods, but the price of the lesson will rise for travels longer than 30 minutes. Please contact me with your postcode and we will discuss that together.
When are you available?
I have a very flexible schedule and work all days of the week and weekend. We can either arrange a fixed weekly appointment, or change every week according to your schedule.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages. I really enjoy working with children (starting from 5 years old) but I also have a good number of adult learners. I believe that if you have the right motivation it is never too late to pick up an instrument!
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have already prepared students for ABRSM grades, but I am open to other kinds of qualification, so we can discuss your aims together!
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I don't have one at the moment. I'm happy to provide references from other students or parents.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Every student is unique and every lesson is different from all the others, that is also why I never get bored while teaching! Most of the children I work with are 5 or 6 years old, and I can see that learning music has changed their life, they are eager to learn new songs and improve their skills. I have worked with teenagers as well, and two of them had very good results in ABRSM exams. I also enjoy teaching to adults because I can discuss with them their aims and fix future achievements. Some of them work on graded exams, but some others just want to learn music to expand their interests and improve their lifestyle, having an activity which distracts them from work and concerns.
Do you have a personal message for students?
If you are in doubt, please feel free to contact me for a chat or to arrange a lesson without further engagement.
