Personal Message
Thank you for stepping by! I am Adriana Cristea, a London-based classical violinist and teacher.
My goal is to make other people happy through music, by initiating them in learning the violin.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the violin.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree from the national University of Music from Bucharest, Romania, and a Master of Music Degree with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music from Manchester, UK.
What kind of experience do you have?
My experience varies from individual private lessons to group lessons held in schools, workshops held in classes, holiday camps, as well as preparation for concerts.
How much do you charge?
1 lesson is 1 hour long, on a weekly basis.
Where do you teach?
Lessons will take place at the pupil's home.
When are you available?
Availability will be discussed during the online meeting via Skype, prior to scheduling the first violin lesson.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach violin lessons to pupils aged 6 and beyond at any level, who would be interested in learning the violin, whether for a future musical career, or just as a hobby. I use the ABRSM board for exams, but I do not make this compulsory within my teaching method. My approach is flexible, depending of the pupil's personality, commitment and way of learning.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
DBS checked.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Yes. I am a member of the Musicians' Union.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Availability and other details regarding a prospective collaboration will be discussed via an online meeting on Skype prior to scheduling the first lesson. This online meeting is not considered to be a lesson but an opportunity to get to know each other's expectations. The duration of it will be 30 minutes, free of charge.
