About Tabea
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been playing the violin since I was 5 years old. I have been teaching the violin for 10 years. Privately, group classes, at summer camps. I teach in English or German.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
No, as mine has expired. I am in the process of getting a new one.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained in Berlin, Manchester, Edinburgh, London and New York City.

Learning to play the violin can be fun, challenging, inspirational and rewarding. From young to old everyone can learn this skill. I have 10 years of experience in teaching violin and it brings me great joy to share my passion with others!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the violin.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Academy of Music in London. I hold a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music in violin teaching. I also have a Master of Music from New York University in Manhattan. I was also an adjunct violin faculty member at NYU.
- How much do you charge?
£50 per hour. £30 per half hour. I travel to zone 1 and zone 2 at no extra charge. Discounts for siblings. First lesson half price.
- Where do you teach?
I travel to students' homes. I travel to Notting Hill, South Kensington, West Kensington, High Street Kensington, Chelsea, Paddington, Fulham, St Johns Wood, Queens Park, Belsize Park, Hyde Park, Regents Park, Holland Park, Green Park. I travel to zone 1 and zone 2.
- When are you available?
I am available Saturday and Sunday. Also week day evenings from 6:30pm. I am available during half terms and holidays and all throughout the summer.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all levels. ABRSM Grades or only repertoire, just for fun or for an intended music career.
