About Felicity
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have over 10 years teaching experience working with children of all ages and levels and currently have a private practice as well as teaching at St Francis of Assisi Primary School. I have taught chamber music at Pro Corda (preparatory and primary courses) and been an orchestral mentor on their Chamber Orchestra course. I have also deputised at Ealing Junior Music School.
As a freelance viola player, I play regularly with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the London Philharmonic amongst others. I have played in many of the big concert halls, such as Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre and St Martin-in-the-Fields and have won several prizes with my quartet, the Lipatti Piano Quartet.

I am an experienced, dedicated and young teacher who is passionate about sharing my love of music. I am friendly and approachable and believe strongly in nurturing enthusiasm for music, whether you want to learn seriously or just for fun!

I teach violin, viola and chamber music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
Masters in Performance from the Royal College of Music
Bachelor in Music form the Royal College of Music
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour. I am happy to give consultation lessons. I don't charge for travel inside zone 1 and 2.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at pupils' homes. I can travel anywhere in Zones 1-2 but prefer to teach locally (I live in SE5).
- When are you available?
I am generally free weekdays in the afternoon and evenings, and all day on Sundays. I will try my best to keep a fixed weekly time, however as I am a freelance musician with a flexible timetable, I may have to reschedule lessons from time to time.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages welcome. From beginners level to advanced.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare pupils for all ABRSM exams they wish to work towards. I am also very happy to teach outside the grading system..
