Personal Message
Im a vivacious and passionate musician. Not only do I love to play, but I love sharing it, and teaching is the perfect way to do it.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach violin from beginnner to grade 8 and viola from beginner to Conservatoire level. Music theory is present in my teaching also as I firmly believe that to have an understanding of it will benefit the student.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I completed my BMus at the Royal Academy of Music in 2012. During my time there I was a finalist in the Nancy Nutall prize. I also participated in masterclasses with Garth Knox, Tatijana Masurenko, Philip Dukes and Paul Silverthorne.

As a chamber musician I was selected to participate in the Mendelssohn on Mull festival, performing with members of the Chilingirian Quartet.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately and in schools since 2008. This has included traditional one to one lessons, group lessons (2-5 pupils) and also whole class teaching in a primary school.

My current pupils include a 22 year old Engeneering student who after playing for a year is happily progressing to playing Vivldi concerti and a beginner adult male who has a passion for Romanian Gypsy folk music!

As an orchestral player I regularly work the Aurora Orchestra,Brandenburg Sinfonia, London Contemporary Orchestra, Orchestra of the Swan and many others.
Recently I performed with Bjork at the Royal Albert Hall and Kate Tempest at Brighton Festival.
My session work inlcudes working with Emeli Sande, Foals, The Kooks, Belle and Sebastian and Benji B.
How much do you charge?
I charge £30 to teach from home or in Deal.
Where do you teach?
I generally teach at home but am willing to cycle a short distance to students houses.
When are you available?
i like to teach in Saturday's and Sundays generally. Teaching during the holidays is also fine.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I want to teach anyone who wants to learn. Youre never to old to start. I have seen how happy learning something new can make people. If youre curious its worth doing!
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM exams, Trinity exams, general performance.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Musicians Union.
Where and with whom did you train?
At the Royal Academy of Music with Martin Outram.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Currently I have a young student preparing for his grade 5 exam, many beginners working towards their grade 1 and a few adults who just want to learn in a relaxed manner!
