I am an experienced violin and viola teacher. As a professional musician it's very important for me to work as a teacher and to be able to nurture the skills and talent of young musicians.

After my school graduation in Latvia (Riga) I continued my studies at the Royal Academy of Music with full scholarship. I am a regularly performing musician. I play in different chamber music groups and orchestras. My experience includes performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London,The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Kennedy Centre in Washington, Carnegie Hall in New York, Symphony Hall in Boston etc I worked with such conductors and soloists as Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle, Vladimir Ashkenazy,Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Yefim Bronfman etc .
What kind of experience do you have?
I have gained valuable experience teaching the violin and viola in private lessons in all levels, preparing students for exams, competition, scholarship preparations and entrance auditions. In lessons I place strong emphasis on posture and alignment, effective learning and practice strategies, tone production, artistic interpretation and its presentation. Some of my students are prize winners of national and international competitions.
I also worked with a small group of primary and secondary school students giving them an opportunity to understand and create music. I supported and took a lead in practical sessions both inside and outside the Academy.

60 minutes - £40.00
30 minutes- £25.00
Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel to student’s house.
When are you available?
I am available to teach throughout the week. Please contact me for availability.

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Preparing students for ABRSM exams, scholarship preparations, entrance auditions, competition.
