Which subject(s) do you teach?
Mathematics and Physics A-levels as well as other higher level Mathematics and Physics.

In particular I have a wealth of experience assisting UK students with preparation for the US SATs and SAT 2 in Mathematics and Physics and Oxfords PAT Physics Exam.

I am also a fluent Welsh speaker and can present these lessons for Welsh speakers as well.
Tell me about your qualifications.
An experienced online math and science tutor I have a First Degree with Honours from Aberystwyth University in Physics and a PhD in Materials Physics (organic semiconductors, Diodes, Transistors, photo-electron spectroscopy, x-Rays and UHV).

At Aberystwyth University I tutored and supervised undergraduate students for 4 years in experimental physics, computing, and mathematics for mathematicians and physicists. I also lectured in Mathematics for Physicists I, Semiconductor Physics, and developed the first ever Mathematics for Physicists courses in the Welsh language.

I have been tutoring in London since 2006 privately and with several well-known and highly respected agencies. With over 15 years of tutoring experience on all UK BMAT, A-level, IGCSE and GCSE examination boards, I have a thorough understanding of the problems encountered by students preparing for their Exams.

I am also experienced in successfully preparing students for the standardized tests required for US University entry. My experience has given me unique insight into the extra preparation that students following the UK curriculum need to prosper in the SAT, ACT and SAT 2 (Subject Tests) in Mathematics and Physics.
What kind of experience do you have?
Benefit from one to one tutoring with a qualified and highly experienced tutor. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring one-to-one at a red brick university, Oxford College, and privately for many VIP families and several of the most prestigious London tutoring agencies.

I have previously tutored several students at Eaton, Dulwich College, Collet Court, Imperial College, Oxford, MPW and JAGS.

Could you benefit from an experienced tutor? If so, don't hesitate to contact me for your first lesson - money back guaranteed if you do not find the lesson helpful.
How much do you charge?
Discount on my hourly fee for those who register for lessons with me before 1/10/15 - (Original fee £55ph) - Discount will then remain until May 2016.
Where do you teach?
I mainly teach online, which allows me to tutor students from as far away as the United States, Wales, Scotland and Singapore! I can also teach at the library near my home in Swiss Cottage or at the students home.

Areas that I currently teach in person are Baker Street, Sloane Square, Fulham, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Victoria, Belsize Park, Hampstead Heath and St John's Wood.
When are you available?
I am available week days from 9am-10pm.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I do not have a limit either way on the age group I teach - but evaluate each proposal individually.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
GMAT (Math preperations)
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I do have an up to date DBS.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Using the best possible tools, I have successfully set up a system where I can tutor students face-to-face using a video link and a shared online whiteboard: allowing us to share documents and all notes written during the session. All the notes are saved and are available at the end of the lesson in a neat and organized digital document. No more losing tutors notes!

All you need is a working computer/laptop/tablet with an internet connection and an internet browser - NOTHING ELSE.

Benefits of one-to-one online tuition:

Tutor can concentrate solely on the individual difficulties of the student

Problem areas can be addressed immediately

Increased confidence in the topic, increasing motivation and enjoyment

No travel time or travel costs

Easier to fit into a students busy schedule

Student is in his/her home environment, which can keep the student at ease and in a better frame of mind for learning.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Several of my current students have successfully passed their A-levels with A grades and SATs (many current students achieving high 750s in their SAT math score and one achieving a 900 on SAT math).

Past students have gone on to study at Oxford, Imperial College, Stamford and Harvard as well as several other higher education establishments.
Do you have a personal message for students?
The chemistry between a student and his/her tutor as well as their teaching style is paramount to an efficient and inspiring relationship with the subject matter.
