My name is Ivan and I am currently a student at the Royal Academy of Music. I'm a professional flute player with an equal amount of study in piano.
I received a strong musical foundation in Russia and can teach music theory as well.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
My main subject is classical flute with piano as a second study.

I have a lot of experience playing in different chamber groups and will be happy to help with rehearsing techniques and general ensemble.

Music Theory and Composition is the other subject I had a lot of training in and would be glad to help with.

I was a student of the Solfeggio method for years in Russia, and I would be more then happy to teach it as well.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I've started my musical education at the Junior Department of Tchaikovsky's Conservatory in Moscow, Russia.
After I graduated, I was accepted to study at Chetham's School of Music and then got a place at the Royal Academy of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have experience in one to one tuition and working/rehearsing with chamber groups.
How much do you charge?
I think it's best to have a trial lesson free of charge to find out what what we can work on and if we suit each other.

I charge £30 for the whole hour and £20 for the half hour.

Travel expenses, lesson times and fees can be discussed in private.
Where do you teach?
I live in Maida Vale, London. I'm more then happy to travel to student's homes.
When are you available?
The best time of the week for me is usually the weekend but it is always possible to find time during weekdays. The times during the week are flexible. It is best to organise them directly through email or phone.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I'm happy to teach amateur, intermediate and advanced students of any level.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I'm in the process of getting one.
Where and with whom did you train?
Junior Department of Tchaikovsky's Conservatory - Prof. Yuri Dolshikov
Chetham's School of Music - Laura Jellicoe, Linda Verrier
Royal Academy of Music - William Bennett, Clare Southworth
