I am a very thorough, patient and dedicated teacher. I tailor my teaching to the needs and learning style of each individual student, as well as assisting them to develop their motivation, independent learning skills and confidence.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach A-level Chemistry and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have completed my PhD at Imperial College London, where I stayed on to continue after completing my MRes in Bioimaging with distinction. Before that I spent three years working and teaching in secondary schools in London, first as a Teaching Assistant and then for two years as a Science and Chemistry teacher. During that time I obtained my teacher qualification. Before moving to London in 2006 I attained a B.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).
What kind of experience do you have?
I have three years of experience working in secondary schools in London teaching GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and A-level Chemistry.
Throughout my PhD I was frequently called upon to supervise undergraduate students in the chemistry labs, and after completing my PhD I I will also be involved in leading Imperial College's spectroscopy workshops for A-level students. I have worked part-time tutoring students in GCSE Science, and I intend to continue with teaching/tutoring in the future.
How much do you charge?
£35/h for GCSE Science, £45 for A-level Chemistry.
Where do you teach?
I can teach from my home, and also commute to your place of residence.
When are you available?
I am available from 9am till 7pm on weekdays and 10am till 5pm on Sat.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age and ability students are welcome!
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for GCSE and A-level exams.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
