13+ exam (Common Entrance)

I'm starting to get very excited about the Little Algebra Book - it's a tiny, colourful introduction to the main idea of algebra: if you do something to one side of the equation, you have to do the same to the other. It's not a textbook in the traditional sense - its aim is to help you remember what you're doing when you balance an equation.

It's written by an ex-NASA maths geek (me) and designed by an award-winning graphic designer from The Chase in Manchester (my brother) and it looks gorgeous. Many of the examples are illustrated with fold-out pages that demonstrate the concepts.

As one of my students said, it's the kind of book you'll keep around even once you understand algebra. And it's only £3.70 including UK postage. Click here to order yours!
