Dear All,
As we are all aspiring to be the best teachers, students, people we can be I would like to recommend an invaluable resource that has come to my attention in the last few weeks which will be an amazing resource but also great source of inspiration!

This e-book tells the story of a guitarist who studied with Warne Marsh (one of the greatest ever jazz improvisers, slowly getting more ‘sung’- for more information/ bio see Safford Chamberlain’s book ‘An Unsung Cat’.)
The e-book refers to many of the actual lessons Warne Marsh gave to John Klopotowski giving an incredible insight into Warne Marsh’s musical mind, life etc. while giving lots of valuable and humorous anecdotes and stories along the way. For those willing to delve deep enough there is an inexhaustible supply of ideas here both for private study and for teaching (albeit of a more advanced conceptual level!)
In many ways this e-book keeps the Tristano teaching methodology alive for another generation of musicians and educators so it’s only fair that I share such a source of wisdom and insight with you all.
As Warne poignantly says: “I've only always tried to give you a piece of what Lennie gave me…”
