Sibelius

Sibelius is a fantastic tool for composers - an orchestra literally at your fingertips! But even the greatest symphony in the world is going to sound terrible when played through the notational software.

A problem for many composers who use Sibelius is that the horrible instrument sounds that come with the program can lead them to believe that their compositions aren't very good. Of course, sometimes this might be the case, but more often than not using software such as Sibelius can cause composers to dismiss a great piece of writing on the grounds that it 'sounds bad'.

It can be terribly demotivating to hear your compositions played through Sibelius not everyone is able to 'imagine' how it would sound with a real orchestra. With a few tips and tricks however, it is easy to make your computerised works come to life and sound more 'realistic'.

This is just one of the things that I can show you in my lessons.
