University Psychology

My interest in science and in partciular cognitive neuropsychology and neuroscience stems from the care and upbringing of my severely autistic son. I have learned so much from him about people and life.

Autism is an enigma, and everyone is different and affected in different ways. My son has taught me so much and autism is now my life. How the brain functions is fascinating and awesome: it is such a powerful tool and we do not fully comprehend its amazing powers. The abilities of people with autism are incredible at whatever level they function.

One day autism will be understood and fully acknowledged. Until that time I shall continue to fight for the rights of people with autism, so that they are better understood in our society.
