Guitar tutor and session musician with curly hair. Offering relaxed one-to-one lessons in person or over Skype, for all ages, abilities and styles. Lessons are available any time, for anyone, and keep things fun, stress-free and creative.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I am a rock and pop musician and producer, and as such I can tutor in three main areas:

- Rock and Pop guitar; teaching a wide, varied and exciting range of styles, genres and techniques, based on your interests and your learning.
- Music production and music technology; how to get started for anyone with a computer, the basics of music production and creative music technology.
- Contemporary songwriting and composition; what it means to write a song, discovering your voice, structure and compositional skills.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Creative Music Technology, with a focus on songwriting and performance, from The University of Hull.

- How much do you charge?

£25 per hour in person.
£20 per hour over Skype.

- Where do you teach?

I teach at students' homes, and can travel across most of central and south London from my base in Kennington, South London. Suitable areas include:

- Brixton
- Camberwell
- Clapham
- Dulwich
- Peckham
- Southwark
- Vauxhall

Please do get in touch if you're not in these areas, I can include East London, such as Shoreditch or Aldgate, especially for 2-hourly lessons or multiple bookings. If you're on the Northern Line, I can travel even further afield, including North London. You may also be interested in Skype lessons.

- When are you available?

9am - 9pm, 7 days a week.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

All ages and standards.

As a beginner, whether you want to strum your favourite songs or take your first steps toward becoming a proficient musician, learning should be fun whilst giving a firm grounding to your new skill.

For those a little more experienced, I can offer insight on where to take your playing next, developing your technique, becoming a songwriter, and generally how to grow as a musician and player.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I teach using Skype, which is free, reliable software that is easy to download and use. All you need is a PC or Laptop with a broadband internet connection and a webcam. Using the 'Share Screen' facility, you will be able to see and hear both of us on one screen. I have prepared lesson notes I will send through at the beginning of the lesson, allowing you to view these notes whist still viewing our lesson conversation.

Lessons run exactly the same as a one-to-one lesson. You arrange an appointment and we meet up online at that time. The system is easy to use, even for people not so computer savvy.

The benefit of these lessons is that you can receive tuition from me wherever you are, in London or further afield, and they save you money - I have to charge slightly more for my lessons in person to account for my travel costs. This is not so with a Skype lesson, allowing you to receive tuition at a lower cost.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

Learning the guitar is such a fun thing to do, and it has opened up so many opportunities in my life. I wish you the best of luck in learning your new skill, whichever tutor you go with.
