About Adam
- What kind of experience do you have?
I previously held a position at Suffolk New College, Ipswich, as a lecturer in pop music. Subject areas taught included music theory, songwriting, along with one-to-one instrumental lessons for students learning bass guitar.
As a freelance session musician, my playing and recording credits include Lewis Watson, Tenterhook, Thomas James Spieght and Mark Flanagan. My work with these artists has included tours in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia, playing alongside established acts such as Kodaline, Lianne La Havas, and Jools Holland. I have performed at a number of large music festivals, including Glastonbury, T in the Park, V festival and Bestival; and have performed live in session for Dermot O'Leary and Paul Jones on their respective BBC Radio 2 shows. I have also been involved in the recording of soundtracks composed my Michael Price and Anne Nikitin, playing electric bass and double bass for many parts within each score.

I am a professional Bass guitar player and teacher, regularly performing in a wide range of styles with various ensembles, with experience touring alongside acts like Kodaline, Lianne La Havas and Jools Holland. I also teach drums and guitar.

BMus from the University of Surrey.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour. Prices may slightly increase depending on distance travelled. I'm happy to teach 45 minute lessons for £25.
- Where do you teach?
Lessons are tailored to meet the need of each student, whether it's for exam preparation or just for fun. I'm currently looking for students in South East London. I am able to teach from home in South East London and also able to drive to your home, with or without bass, guitar and amplifiers.
If it fits with my schedule, I can drive to; Lewisham, Brockley, Woolwich, Dulwich, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Herne Hill, Beckenham, Bromley, Sidcup, Bexley
- When are you available?
I can be very flexible with my teaching hours during the week.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am able to teach students of all ages (6+) and all abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I teach bass guitar grades 1-8 from the Rockschool syllabus. I also teach the Trinity College London drum kit exam syllabus, grades 1-8. I co-wrote a number of pieces within this syllabus.
