About Aisling
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have many years of teaching experience spanning all ages and abilities, including SEN. I have worked at Junior Guildhall and been a member of Social Staff on the National Children's Orchestras residential courses. I currently teach for One Education, and before this I taught for Tower Hamlets Music Service in London.
I regularly lead music workshops at both primary and secondary schools, as well as running a toddler and babies music class every week. As an orchestral musician, I have worked with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra, Liverpoool Sinfonia, Sinfonia Cymru, Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and Brandenburg Sinfonia. I also have extensive experience as a chamber musician and as a soloist.

Yes, and I am on the online update service
- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied with Alison Teale and Gordon Hunt at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, David Walter at the Paris Conservatoire, and Chris Cowie and Celia Nicklin at the Royal Academy of Music.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Yes, I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM)
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have a wide range of students from 5 years old up until 60+. The majority of my students enjoy working and progressing through the grades, however a number also enjoy learning just for fun. Most of my pupils I see on a weekly basis, and some prefer to have lessons every other week.

- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home in Horwich (Bolton) and would be able to travel to surrounding areas around North Manchester (extra travel costs may occur, but of course I would be happy to discuss this).

I am available to teach throughout the school holidays.

I teach oboe and cor anglais from beginner to post grade 8 standard.
I teach recorder, piano and music theory from beginner until grade 5.
I teach both children and adult re-learners/ beginners, so am happy to teach all ages and abilities.

I am a very enthusiastic teacher and aim to make my pupils enjoy learning music, be it just for fun or preparing for music exams. I am very happy to teach both beginner and advanced students, as well as adult re-learners.
