I teach Banjo. The style I play is Clawhammer (or frailing) 5-string banjo. If you are unsure what this means please call and ask me. It is probably the style you want to play or at least a good starting point.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

Banjo (5 String) and Folk fiddle (violin) American or English styles.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I've been a professional musician (multi-instrumentalist) for 30 years.

- How much do you charge?

£25 per hour (at my home) plus min £5 for travel costs.

- Where do you teach?

At home or at yours.
I live in Lewisham, S.E. London. Willing to travel 5 miles or so.

- When are you available?

This varies greatly from week to week. It is best to speak to me.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

Any age or level although I think attempting to play the 5 string banjo before age 10 or so might be a bit ambitious. Maybe better to start on ukelele.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I teach folk style and academic qualifications are not really relevant.
I aim to get you to a level where you'd be confident to play in front of people. Maybe go to a pub music session.
Mainly to enjoy it.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

Give it a go. There's no pressure.
