About Benjamin
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have four years' experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language at a variety of language schools in the London area, in addition to previous years in primary and secondary schools, working with children who range in age from 4 to 18, including those with special educational needs.
I've privately tutored a range of students in areas including ESOL, IELTS and young learners working towards KS3, GCSE and A-Level exams.
I'm also a contributing member of The Woodcraft Folk, working with young children including training in child protection, sex education and safeguarding.

I have a first degree (2:1) in English, as well as a second degree (DipHE) in Health Care Studies.
I am a qualified teacher of EFL with a Cambridge CELTA, and have been working in this field for over four years.
- How much do you charge?
My general charge is £25 per hour.
I would add an extra fee of £5 for travel into Central London.
- Where do you teach?
I will need to travel to students' homes, as I have no space at home available for tutoring.
I am in Cockfosters, North London. I can travel to areas in and around the Boroughs of Enfield or Barnet, with the option of travelling to Haringey, Camden or Westminster by special arrangement.
I use TFL public transport to travel.
- When are you available?
I am available most afternoons and evenings (check with me) on weekdays. Weekends tend to vary, but check with me for availability when it comes to a one-off session.
I can travel into Central London if needed, but areas around Enfield or North London are preferred.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
English: Key Stage 2 and 3. GCSE or AS/A2 preparation on request.

I can offer preparation for English exams - SATs, GCSEs or A-Levels.
