- I am a friendly and committed drum teacher. If you have a drum kit and need a teacher I can help!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach drum kit, to ages 8+ of all abilities, tutoring in all styles and genres. I'm also available for music theory tuition. (Both drum kit and standard notation)
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Music from the University of Chichester, where I specialised in Music Performance. I have the Drum Kit grades with Trinity Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and also music theory with The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I have a full, current CRB check.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have lots of teaching experience, from leading drum workshops to one to one tuition.
- How much do you charge?
- £15 for half an hour, or £25 for an hour. (Those who live outside the Milton Keynes area may be subject to an addtional travel fee).
- Where do you teach?
- I teach in the Milton Keynes area. I am willing to travel further afield subject to extra travel costs depending on where you live. Please ask for details.
- When are you available?
- I am available most nights of the week and at weekends during the daytime. I teach all year round including school holidays. I am available for one to one lessons, practical workshops, drumming introductions and for advice and help with theory and advice on drum maintainance and set-up. - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- ages 8+, all abilities, all styles.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I am happy to teach students to prepare for examinations for both drums and music theory.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have a valid CRB certificate.

University of Chichester - John Maiden - Tell me about some of your current students.
- I currently teach a range of students at various different levels - each with their own musical tastes that I try and cater for. I approach the basics of technique and the fundamental elements of drumming and apply these to whatever style of music most suits the student. I also prepare students for exams. My aim is always to help the student achieve their goals and in the process make learning the drums interesting and enjoyable!
