About Carla
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been tutoring and teaching Primary and Secondary students and adults for over a decade - both in Spain and the UK - Since I have been London based my main focus has been on foreign languages; buiding, developing, supporting and extending Spanish skills through to A2 - as well as developing and consolidating English reading and wrting skills for early learning stages, targeting concentration spans, memory, patterns, association, in adapting to a child's individual learning style. More recently taking a rather holistic approach to cater for personal development needs outside of subject learning (coaching & yoga) which can at times lead to blockages and have a negative impact on academic performance.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Hatha Yoga for Children & Adults, meditation & breathing techniques tailored for specific goals / needs...determination, balance, self-control, confidence building, positive mind-set. I teach Spanish all the way through to KS5 and Degree Level, French from Primary to KS4 level, English (handwriting, spelling, creative writing, essay structuring)
- Tell me about your qualifications.
My first Degree is in Contemporary Art and Drama, my PGCE (post graduate) in Modern Foreign Languages and I also have an English for Foreign Speakers Certificate from Trinity College. Coaching Certificate from PosMad (Goal Mapping & Study Skills) Hatha Yoga Teaching qualification from Yoga Professionals London - CYQ - EFK - Level 3 - anatomy & physiology - exercise fitness knowledge -
- How much do you charge?
I am happy to negotiate reduced rates for long term tutoring. There would also be travel expenses incurred for extra travel time/distance.
Please note all fees are in AED.

I live in Dubai, have excellent location which allows me to travel around easily!
