Personal Message: I enjoy teaching students of all levels and ages. I am happy to take on any students, whether they are working towards exams or just want to enjoy singing once a week.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach Classical, Pop, Jazz singing, and Theory up to Grade 5 ABRSM.
Tell me about your qualifications.: Bachelor of Music (honours), Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
What kind of experience do you have?: In teaching, four years of experience teaching privately and in secondary schools. I also occasionally teach at a stage school.

I am a working singer and have a lot of experience in Opera, Classical Song and Jazz performance.
How much do you charge?: I charge £30 if the lesson is at my house and £35ph to teach in a studio or travel to a students house (depending on the area).
Where do you teach?: I teach at my house in Battersea SW11 or at students' homes in central London. Sometimes I will agree to hire a studio in central London if it easier.
When are you available?: My timetable is flexible.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach all ages from children to adults.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: ABRSM exams and LCM music theatre exams.
I can also help with all aspects of GSCE and A Level music.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?: Equity.

Why Learn to Sing?

Singing, particularly classical singing, can be seen as an elitist subject. I don't see it this way, but as something that everyone can do. It is a very enjoyable way to help to build confidence and just have fun. Singing is not just for people who would like to have careers in music and you don't need to be able to read music to learn to sing.
