At the beginning of my international career as emerging composer.

I am an enthusiastic teacher capable of bringing a good balance of highly professional musicianship and friendly relationship.
I have an extensive experience in teaching piano, music theory and wind instruments to different ages.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Piano, Saxophone and Clarinet (holding an Italian Diploma equivalent to Masters Level) and I have long experience in teaching these instruments to students from age 7 up to adult age.

I also teach Music Theory and Composition (I have deeply studied both classical and avant-guard techniques) to young students for ABRSM exams as well as aspiring composers or other musicians who desire to acknowledge how to analyze scores and understand the composition process.

I can teach Italian and I can speak French as well (if required during the lessons).

- Tell me about your qualifications.

(2002-2009) Diploma in Saxophone at the Conservatory of Music 'L.Marenzio' in Brescia, Italy (equivalent to Masters Degree)

(2011-2013) Masters in Composition at the Royal College of Music in London, studying Composition with Dai Fujikura and Conducting (as a Second Study) with Natalia Luis-Bassa (supported by a Leverhulme Postgraduate Studentship).

(2013-2016) PhD in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Simon Bainbridge researching on "orchestration according to rehearsal's needs" (supported by an AHRC scholarship).

(2004-2011) Composition and Piano Course at the Conservatory of Music 'L.Marenzio' in Brescia, Italy (subjects: Counterpoint, Harmony, Choral Writing, Orchestration, Classical and Contemporary composition techniques, Score Reading, Piano and Choral Conducting)

(summers 2011-2013) Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy (studying composition with Azio Corghi and Conducting with Gianluigi Gelmetti)

- How much do you charge?

I charge £35 per hour, though for long distance travels the fee is to be discussed.
Reduced fees for lessons given at my home.

I am a highly reasonable and dedicated person: I don't mind exceeding the destined slot if the lesson requires extra time (without asking for extra money) and can negotiate fees in case of problematic economical situations.

- Where do you teach?

I teach from my home in Willesden Green or I can easily move in all the London area (zone 1-3), with preference for W, NW, N and SW areas or central.
I strongly believe that composition classes can benefit from the use of the Piano, for this reason I encourage older students who don't possess a piano or a keyboard to have lessons at my home for a reduced fee of £30 per hour.

- When are you available?

Students can book lessons on a weekly basis depending on availability. I won't be available on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday; apart from these days my schedule will be very flexible and I also teach on Sundays. However, for professional reasons, I can't guarantee my presence every week of the year.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all levels from beginners to professionals.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

ABRSM Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano and Theory exams.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I teach Music Theory, Composition and Italian via Skype to long-distance students. Payments via bank transfer.
