About Daniel
- What kind of experience do you have?
For ten years now I've been making textbooks and exams for the English Language Teaching department at Oxford University Press. This has given me a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary and skills teaching. I also have detailed knowledge of the major exams, including IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, Cambridge First, Advanced, etc.
I've been an English language teacher in London, Barcelona, Lisbon and Oxford, where I've taught adults and teenagers at all levels (A1–C2) and prepared them for exams. From this experience I know that the best way to teach is to focus on the student's goals, interests and ways of learning. For example, you might prefer to study the grammar and structure of a language, or the learn the language mainly through practical tasks and activities. Because I've taught people from many different countries, I know how to find the way that you learn most successfully.
I've studied linguistics and the English language at Oxford University and UCL. I speak fluent Spanish and some Portuguese. I'm also the co-editor of an online arts magazine, (concealed information)
