About Doug
- What kind of experience do you have?
Tutoring Experience: Ten years of teaching experience in leading London Secondary Schools. Three years of 1 to 1 tutoring experience ranging from A* pupils to pupils with learning difficulties, in both Schools and at home. Maths and Science tutor for a local authority. Currently I also offer full courses for home schooled or international students in IGCSE Maths. Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
Tuition can run in parallel with school work to improve weaker areas. In the lead up to exams and key tests it is important that you gain plenty of exam practice which can be thoroughly marked in accordance with board mark schemes to identify key areas for improvement. On an ongoing basis it is crucial that you acquire good study skills regularly consolidating and revising existing knowledge rather than leaving a build up prior to exams. I achieve excellent results with my students and can quickly boost levels of attainment.
I have tutored students from many local schools including Hinchley Wood, Tiffin, Hollyfied, Tolworth Girls, Claremont, Reeds, Surbiton High, Wimbledon College. Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
In the 5 months Doug has been teaching him, his grades and his understanding at both Physics and Chemistry have improved dramatically. He is regularly scoring A stars for Physics papers, and last year he was getting Ds. Doug is a very nice, conscientious and reliable teacher and my son now has the confidence to take Chemistry at A level. I have no hesitation in recommending Doug to others
Since she started with Doug at the beginning of 2011, her grades have improved immensely, she has received excellent tuition which has enabled her to develop confidence and improve drastically in areas where previously she was weak.
Doug definitely has what it takes to get the best out of the children, he is very dedicated and experienced and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to other parents.Just a note to let you know that Thomas has moved up a set for Maths.
Darren and I are really pleased !
Thank you for assisting him.View more recommendations
