- I'm a freelance Soprano and Singing Teacher.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach and coach Singing to a professional level in most styles, and Music Theory for all grades.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I completed my undergraduate studies as the University of MT (USA) in Vocal Performance. I then moved abroad and completed both a PGDip and MMus with merits at the Royal Northern College of Music. I'm currently studying with English National Opera as a member of thier Opera Works programme.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I've been teaching singing in classical, jazz, folk, and musical theatre techniques for seven years. I also have a performance career, which I believe greatly enhances my teaching.
- How much do you charge?
- Flat fee is £30 for both lessons and consultations, and a student fee of £25.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach from home, unless it's an exceptional circumstance.
- When are you available?
- Due to my performance schedule and leading workshops, my teaching times vary from week to week. I make every effort to help students have a weekly lesson where requested.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach 15yrs and above privately, however I'm willing to have a consultation with younger students and consider the possibility of beginning lessons. A consultation doesn't guarantee continued lessons.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I prepare students for ABRSM up to Diploma level, Theory and Trinity Exams up to Grade 8.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have a current CRB for working with both vulnerable adults and children.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I don't tutor online for any subjects.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I'm a member of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music as well as the Incorporated Society of Musicians. I'm also a workshop leader for Streetwise Opera.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I currently train with Patricia MacMahon and coach with Rosemary Whalton.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I'm currently studying with English National Opera as part of their Opera Works programme.

Singing... fun?
So often I've found a stigma of necessary success surrounding singing, more so, in my experience, than with other instruments or musical practices. Society has made a practice of honouring 'accomplished' singers, or those that subjectively sound accomplished according to musical preferences of the time. Retrospectively, the super star singers...
