About Elizabeth
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught music to children, assisting them to become better at the musical instruments they had chosen. I have also worked with children up to 18, including students with learning difficulties, helping them to learn everything from the basics of maths, science and english to social skills and the methods to enable them to solve problems, work through school work and enable them to progress and develop.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I work for the Ministry of Justice, therefore I have recently had a full Criminal Bureau check which is required to work for the civil service.

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic person, who is dedicated to helping students work through problems they are having and reaching a solution which enables students to fulfil their full potential. I aim to pass my enthusiasm on to my students and help them to enjoy school work by seeing results.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach English, Maths, Science and Music to a high standard.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a degree in Law and Politics and a postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Cardiff University. I obtained A Levels in English Literature, Music and Religious Studies at grades A, B and B respectively, and also an AS Level in Politics at grade B. At GCSE I gained A grades for Maths, English and Music, and also B grades for the Double Science Award. I am a keen and accomplished musician, having achieved grade 8 on the cello and double bass, grade 7 on the piano and grade 6 on the flute. I also play all recorders to a high standard.
- How much do you charge?
I charge between £20 and £25 per hour for all subjects. If there are multiple children being taught within the same family, then the rate will the full rate for the first child, and £12.50 for each additional child.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at home or at pupils homes. I am located in Chancery Lane and live in West London therefore am happy to teach anywhere in the surrounding areas. Please send me an email if you wish to ask if I can tutor in your area.
- When are you available?
I am available Monday to Friday after 6.00 pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any children up to age 13.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
If online tutoring is preferred then I am more than willing to accommodate this. Arrangements can be made depending on the pupils needs and requirements, however I am available Monday - Friday after 6.00 pm and all day Saturday and Sunday, however any priority matters can be dealt with at other times.
