About Emily
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching singing privately and at leading independent schools in London over the last 7 years. I'm an experienced Vocal Animateur (Glyndebourne Education, Artis, Sing Up!) and have taught Classroom Music for 2 years to children aged 4 - 14.
I combine my teaching career with a career as a professional classical soprano. I enjoy making theatre and create work which includes singing, movement and dance.
I have recently performed at Shakespeare's Globe in London, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park, Royal Albert Hall and the National Theatre Studio.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes, I hold a valid up-to-date DBS check.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and now study voice with Gary Coward.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I'm a member of the MU.

Music has always been at the centre of my life. I'm passionate about nurturing and encouraging new singers to find their voice. I trained as a classical singer and am now studying physical theatre in Edinburgh.

BA Music and Media - Sussex University.
I also play clarinet and piano.

I teach at student's homes in and around Edinburgh.
- When are you available?
I have flexible availability. I have availability on Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday (day and evening).
Some evenings on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday can be arranged - please contact me to discuss.

I have taught all ages from 4 - 50 with a mixture of ability and experience.
