I am an enthusiastic young musician and teacher, keen to adapt to any individual need, interest and standard of my pupils.

Interview

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the Flute, Piccolo and Recorder as well as German up to A-Level standard, or German conversation. I am happy to conduct the lessons in either German or English.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I am post grade 8/diploma standard on the Flute. I was accepted into Chetham's School of Music at the age of 16 and am now a music student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, in my fourth year of study.
Being half British and half German I am fluent in both languages.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have previously taught beginners and intermediate recorder pupils and flute pupils of all standards privately. I have experience teaching individuals and small groups. As part of my course at Guildhall, I have worked in community music projects in London schools. I am part of a wind quintet with particular focus on educational projects.
While living in Germany I helped school children prepare for their German and English language exams.

How much do you charge?
After a free consultation lesson I charge £25 per hour and £15 per half hour for a Flute lesson,
£20 per hour and £12 per half hour for a Recorder lesson,
£20 per hour and £12 per half hour for a German lesson.
For small group lessons I charge £20 per hour plus £5 extra for every child.

Where do you teach?
I preferably teach in my flat in N1, which is very close to Old Street station. However, I can travel across London at an extra charge.

When are you available?
I am available during term time and the holidays, given adequate notice.
Thanks to my flexible timetable at music college, I am able and willing to arrange lessons according to your preference.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach students of any age or standard.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes, I do.

Where and with whom did you train?
I am currently a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Sarah Newbold and Ian Clarke. Previously I have studied at specialist music schools: Chetham's School of Music (with Laura Jellicoe), C. Ph. E. Bach Musikgymnasium in Berlin (with Antje K. Roske).
