About Harry
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have the required vocal training personally which means I understand the voice and I understand the learning process of singing. I have also put this training into practice with private students and during my position as a singing teacher at Harrow International School in Bangkok. Since an early age I was a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, here I helped the choir and I was a bass section leader during my older years.
As well as training my own voice at The Royal College of Music I have also taken two teaching modules which have helped me understand not only how to teach singing but how to teach children. I studied 'The Art of Singing Teaching' with international Baritone Russell Smythe who is one of my references and I chose a Teaching Module as another option to learn the learning process and organisation skills required to teach.
Privately I have taught singing and saxophone for five years now with my students either learning for pleasure or learning to complete ABRSM music examinations. I have had many successes in these ABRSM exams and I pride myself on caring for each student and not only teaching them how to sing well but being their mentor.
During my role at The Harrow International School in Bangkok I had to keep reports on the children and track their progress over the four months I was based at the school. This was a great learning tool for me because I know put this into practice in my private teaching and I track each students progress and decided exactly what each student needs on a case by case basis.
In my own performing career I currently am playing two roles for Grange Park Opera and I will be working with British Youth Opera over the summer period.
I have also taught music theory which I like to incorporate into my lessons and the piano to beginner students.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach seven private saxophone students who all started from scratch and are now all at least Grade 5 level.
My singing students all are working on improving their voices for their own goals.

I have a Bachelors Degree from The Royal College of Music in Vocal Studies and I am now a scholar on the Masters Course studying opera at the same institution.

I have three teaching locations possible as a regular base: Bayswater, South Kensington and Ruislip. I can also travel between zones 1-3 in London.
