- What kind of experience do you have?
- Ten years overseas and in the UK, both full time in school and as a private tutor has given me wonderfully broad multi-national, cross linguistic experiences. At one international school I was on the board of examiners for liasion interpreting (German/English) for foreign correspondents and taught both groups and executives in very diverse industries in their equally diverse disciplines IT, marketing , R&D, Sales, HR. Previously French and German expertise led to senior positions with major service and operator oil industry companies, as PA, translator, remits in marketing, credit control and HR led to travel and work abroad in Cairo, Malta, Tunisia, Germany and France.
- How much do you charge?

- Tell me about some of your current students.
- My currents students: a 6 year old boy with learning difficulties in English, H grade English and French (lovely candidates wanting to improve their grades), General Grade French, Business/technical French and German to an oil industry executive, English as a foreign language to a student of a Masters Degree in International Marketing, German to a GCSE Higher Grade student
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Plato said "speech is thought":- I love life and I believe in the power of words, our tools for communication. Languages are living entities with their own systems, sounds and appearances and how we put them together just varies from country to country. Mastering that art is learning a language and my pupils tell me it is fun and enriching because it is a team effort. Success comes from matching pupil and tutor commitment to the students goals: so happy learning

Ms Gibb has recently completed a period of tutoring my son in both French and English at Higher level. Her experience is apparent in her relaxed manner with various ages and personalities. My family found her approachable, friendly, quick to respond. She successfully identified weak areas of learning for structured improvement and clarified both: the objectives and techniques, so my son's preparation and confidence have improved. I would be happy to recommend her - Mrs. r. J. O'Neill (parent) |

Thank you for being such a good tutor for me over the past few weeks. I feel you really helped me in fully understanding what to do in the exam; how to answer questions correctly. You were so much fun to be around and easy to talk to that I found myself actually wanting to do the work! I am feeling quite confident. Your methods of teaching and techniques are brilliant. - Robyn Martin (student) |
