I became a teacher in my fifties and find that I far prefer to tutor rather than teach in a school. I am therefore a full time tutor in maths and physics.

Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physics 1969, Warwick
PGCE in Mathematics from Roehampton 2005
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been a full-time tutor since 2006
How much do you charge?
GCSE and below at £29 per hour.
Above £34 per hour
Where do you teach?
I teach at the pupil's home. Areas covered are Worcester Park, Sutton, Kingston upon Thames, Putney, Richmond, Kew, Ham, Esher, Twickenham, Teddington, Morden, Mitcham
When are you available?
I am a full time tutor so 9 am to 9pm through the week. I am already fairly full at the weekends
Which ages and levels do you teach?
From three years before GCSE up to University. I have also taught teachers doing the mathematics test in their PCGE

Yes

No, I do not agree with Union membership for teachers

Rosebery School, Epsom and Greenshaw School, Sutton
Do you have a personal message for students?
I work with my students to explain those aspects of the syllabus which they did not fully understand when they first learnt it.
We work through until they understand the topic.
