What kind of experience do you have?
In my ten years working as a teacher I have amassed a vast amount of experience. I have taught on a one to one basis to adults and children of all abilities as well as part of established organisations including a number of schools, Greenwich Music Service, Blackheath Halls (www.trinitylaban.ac.uk/blackheath-halls.aspx) and the Original Jazz Summer School (www.theoriginalukjazzsummerschool.webs.com).

I have taught first time players and absolute beginners, people who are coming back to music after a long break as well as more advanced players working towards higher grades or towards a GCSE of A-Level qualification.
I currently teach for Greenwich and Waltham Forest music services, for several schools in London as well as privately. I am particularly proud to run the Meantime Jazz Orchestra a community project based at Blackheath Halls. I have a flexible and dynamic approach to teaching and tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student to ensure they are an enjoyable, rewarding and productive experience.I will always try to make sure that the material covered is understood in such a way that the student will be able to practice easily and with enjoyment outside of the lessons.

As well as teaching I am also an active performing musician with a wealth of experience. I have been lucky enough to work with and performed along side some of the UK’s finest Jazz Musicians including Martin Speake, Julian Seigel, Mark Lockheart, Alan Barnes and Geoff Simkins. I have performed with the acclaimed Bobby Lamb Big Band, toured Europe with the university of London Big Band and have played at some of London’s top music venues including the 100 Club, the 606 jazz club, the Jazz Café, and the Bulls Head Jazz Club as well as having played at one of the worlds biggest jazz festivals the North Sea Jazz Festival.

I have also played engagements up and down the country at prestigious venues including the Dorchester Hotel, Claridges Hotel, The National Maritime Museum, Banqueting House and Lords
How much do you charge?
I always offer the first lesson free of charge
At my home: £18/30min or £30/1hr
At your house: Rates start at £25/30mins or £35/1hr but vary depending on your location. Please contact me for details.
Where do you teach?
I teach from my home in Greenwich South East London. I will also travel to other areas of London to teach students in their home.

I am flexible and available during the day and evening on any given day. Contact me for more details.
