I have also often been asked to help with a range of other subjects, such as psychology in the lead up to exams in order to help with general revision strategies to get students ORGANISED! - Tell me about your qualifications.
- I completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) at the University of Melboure in Australia, followed by a one year Diploma of Education (Secondary). I then moved to the UK and have been working here as a science teacher since 2008.
I recently converted my qualifications gaining UK Qualified Teacher Status through a General Teaching Program (GTP) and Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) Program in 2010. - What kind of experience do you have?
- In the UK I have four years Science and Biology teaching experience. I have really enjoyed tutoring a range of students through this website since 2010 primarily working with A-level Biology, but have helped with most subjects at GCSE and even 11+ training.
I have worked in three comprehensives and have worked for 2 years in a Grammar school - thus I have strong experience working with students from a variety of backgrounds, abilities and aspirations.
My tutees attained excellent exam results and some real confidence in their own study techniques. My students have received excellent results at GCSE and A-level. For example 20 % of the students in my GCSE classes recently attained above their target grade where 80 % were A-A*. - How much do you charge?
- £30/hr for A-level Biology
£25/hr for GCSE
£20/hr for KS2 and KS3

My lunchtimes were always busy as students have always felt comfortable to approach me for help, to ask questions and know that I will persevere in finding a strategy that works for them! I really enjoy it when you feel a sense of achievement because then I do too!!!!!!!
