- A teaching plan for my current student A (GCSE Chinese) :
1. As you like performing, we can practice reading in a lot of different tones: sad, happy, worried, angry, exciting...etc. To make reading more fun and easier to remember.
2. Let's record our reading, and listen to it together the following week. It will give you an impression of how much progress you have made.
3. As for the one hour lesson, let's make it into four parts: Reading, Writing, Making sentences or even stories in the future and Listening to the recording of last week. Let's read each sentence in your book at least three times, writing each character five times. We will read what we are writing.
4. For your homework: Practicing 10 minutes each day everyday except weekends, including writing one or two characters five times each, and read loud five sentences. - Do you have a personal message for students?
- I would like us have an hour talk before we start any course in order for us to get to know each other and for me to make a teaching plan.

Some suggestions for learning Chinese Mandarin
In the beginning, you'd better listen as much as possible. Listening doesn’t do any harm. Just let the Chinese sounds flood into your brain and make impressions. It helps you start speaking. I strongly recommend Peter Hessler's books for anyone who wants to understand today's China and Chinese culture. Language learning is not only about pronunciation and communication: you also need to know how Chinese people think, and why they describe things in the way they do! For more information, please...
