My Articles
Did you know?
A French Horn is 12 feet long if you unravel it completely? This means you need to use a lot of air! Air is always the best way to think about playing. Forget about embochure, and everything becomes much much easier.

My Testimonials
|
"As an adult beginner I found taking up an instrument pretty daunting. Lauren made me feel very at ease from the outset, and wasn't patronising in the least. We work at a level that I find challenging but attainable - a great all round tutor!" - Peter Liddle, Tenor Horn player |
|
"Lauren has been teaching my 11-year old daughter, Lucy, for about 9 months, and has supported her through two changes of instrument (from baritone horn to euphonium and now French horn). Lucy enjoys the lessons a great deal and Lauren has been really good at combining a fun approach with excellent and sustained technical guidance, so Lucy is actually making progress! Lauren is a lovely teacher and I would recommend her highly." - Judith Bettesworth, mother of Lucy, a French Horn player |
