I trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, studying piano and composition & improvisation with Penelope Roskell and Douglas Finch respectively.

I am a student member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

I am a London-based pianist and writer with a wealth of teaching experience, and I myself regularly perform (so I practise what I preach). I am a firm believer in teaching in a way that is enjoyable, rewarding and produces well-rounded musicianship.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I primarily teach piano, but I also teach theory and composition.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have recently finished my degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, having obtained a first class Bachelor of Music with Honours in Piano. I also have an LTCL in Piano Performance and an ALCM in Piano Accompaniment.
I have also been the winner of numerous competitions, including the John Halford Competition (piano category) 2014, the Gladys Puttick Prize for Extemporisation 2012 along with dancer and duo partner Adam Russell, the Medway Young Musicians Awards 2007 and the under 15s category of the Kent Messenger Focus competition. I was a recipient of an LCM London Schools and Teachers Award in 2011.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour, and £20 per half hour session.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at the pupil's home - I live in Wandsworth, and will travel to most of South West, West and Central London. I also have a few private pupils in the South East, so if you're willing to fit in with the days/times I'm in that area, I may also be willing to teach you there.
- When are you available?
I'm available on some weekday afternoons and evenings (the others, I already teach on), and Saturday afternoons, at present. Please send me a message to check exact availability.
I am happy to teach in the school holidays if people wish, but don't expect everyone to keep up lessons all year through.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
As mentioned before, I teach all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am familiar with and teach both the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall grade syllabuses, but am equally comfortable teaching without heading towards a grade exam. Whether you're motivated by structure, or want a more relaxed approach, I will teach to the needs of the individual.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have never yet tutored via Skype, but would be willing to try (and would offer a reduced rate initially if anyone requested to try).
