About MDR
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have a PGCSE and QTS with over 20 years teaching experience; about 13 years as the head of science in an independent school followed by 7 years running my own private tuition business.
I have designed an online learning platform containing over 220 Physics tutorials, 220 Chemistry tutorials, 500 videos of practical demos.This is especially tailored for Cambridge Physics and Chemistry and can be accessed at a very reasonable rate. The learning zone is free for pupils who sign up for on line classes.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach children from KS3 to KS4; aging from 11 to 17. I am preparing pupils for both chemistry and physics GCSE and IGCSE exams.

All my pupils will have access to the mdr science learning zone. This enables them to study and learn outside of class and specifically trains pupils to succeed in the Cambridge IGCSE Physics and Chemistry exams.

Physics and Chemistry. I specialise in Cambridge IGCSE. All online classes are supported by my own learning platform specifically targeted at Cambridge IGCSE Physics and Chemistry.

- How much do you charge?
30 pounds per hour. This includes full access to my own dynamic learning platform. Designed to train pupils to succeed in the cambridge IGCSE physics and chemistry exams.

I teach online only.

Between 8:00 am until 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Cambridge i.G.C.S.E. and international o-level Physics and Chemistry.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I use WEBEX virtual classroom and invitations are sent to pupils 24 hours prior to class. Pupils do not need a WEBEX account but can set up their own free account, if they like.
All prospective pupils are entitled to a free online session.
During the class, I use a graphics tablet and stylus to write on an interactive whiteboard. Pupils may also write on the whiteboard. This links a number of different media including: videos of practical demonstrations and scientific phenomena; interactive quizzes to help develop and strengthen understanding; power point presentations.
All pupils will be automatically registered with my own interactive learning zone designed specifically to train pupils for IGCSE and GCSE Physics and Chemistry exams [click on my website at the top of my profile]. This is free for all tutees. The learning zone consists of over 700 tutorials covering all aspects of the Physics and Chemistry curriculum. This enables pupils to revisit and revise materials taught in class.
GCSE and iGCSE pupils will be asked to use the learning zone as part of their homework. They will be expected to download and complete relevant exams questions as part of their preparation.
