About Amy
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have tutored a wide range of students in:
-AS and A level subjects - Human Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics.
-UKCAT, BMAT, personal statement advice and interview practice - the students have all been offered places at their chosen universities.
-11+ entry.
From all of these students I have received good feedback.
From my mid-teens I have given one-on-one tutoring to younger students through a peer-to-peer scheme at my school, tutoring in mathematics. Having a younger brother and sister, I have also help them with studying in all subjects.
Last summer I taught carers in an orphanage in Ghana about healthcare issues affecting the children with disabilities. By doing this, I can communicate complex and important ideas with clarity, despite there being a language barrier.
At UCL I undertook a teaching course whereby we learnt how to teach small and large groups of students, and then taught sexual education

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Amy is a terrific tutor. She helped my brother and myself through the BMAT and Medical School Interview process and at every session I found I was able to improve my performance by using her advice. What I found most useful was the fact she was really able to draw on her own experiences to help us, because she had been through the same process a few years earlier. I would definitely recommend her as a mentor during the Medical School application process.
