About Jake
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have 10 years experience of tutoring maths. It was my main source of income through university and a series of internships. My technique combines a personal approach that builds confidence and enthusiasm for mathematics together with a close attention to the logic and methods a pupil needs to gain an understanding of maths and how it works. This method is supplemented by a number of study and exam techniques that will help boost performance, not only in maths but in other subjects too.
All my studies have combined an element of maths with other disciplines and, as someone now applying my mathematical background in my political job, I believe I can bring a fresh perspective to the subject that the pupil may not receive at school.
This approach has proved very effective over the years - all but a small handful of the many exams (estimated at around 100) I have coached pupils through, resulting in the target grade or higher. I have many parents happy to give references - will provide mobile numbers on request.
